Patrick George was a friend to Heatherleys. His writings were edited by the late Susan Engledow, who for many years was Director of the Diploma in Portraiture here, and his ideas inform much of the teaching she and her colleagues did at Heatherleys.
Heatherley tutor Chris Moock is the author of the Introduction to the catalogue accompanying the exhibition and another recent book on the artist, “The LIkeness is in the Looking: Collected Writings of Patrick George”, edited by Susan Engledow and published by Sansom & Co.
