Part time courses
Admission to the Open Studio, part-time day and evening courses and summer holiday classes is non-selective, subject to student enrolment. The online application form should be completed and sent to the school with the appropriate fee paid in full. Courses can be booked online or in person.
Courses are released for sale halfway through term for the following term, eg. 11th June 2019 for Autumn Term 2019. This date will be advised well in advance on the website on the Part-Time Courses section and by email to everyone on our e-mailing list.
The Heatherley School of Fine Art reserves the right to cancel, combine, reschedule or modify courses, or adjust fees, or substitute lecturers as necessary.
Full-time courses
Admission to Continuing Studies and Diploma courses is selective and subject to interview.
Applicants must be over 18 years old. There is no upper age restriction.
Following receipt of a completed application form, supported by an academic reference, the school will offer the appointment date for an interview with a portfolio of work. Interviews are held from early January for the following September.
There is not a specific deadline for the submission of application forms for Diploma in Sculpture or Continuing Studies.
Diploma in Portraiture applications for September 2024:
Please complete the full time application form and post or email to the school. You will then be contacted by the school to arrange a suitable date and time for interview.
Applicants should be highly self-motivated and are asked to bring a portfolio of recent work. As well as examples of three dimensional work, there should also be evidence of drawing ability and an awareness of contemporary art and design issues. Whilst completion of an art foundation course is desirable, a sustained commitment to non-vocational classes and courses would also be regarded as acceptable experience.
To secure a place offered following an interview, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the course fees is required accompanying your completed acceptance form. The acceptance form will be posted to you at the same time as the offer of place letter. You will be required to provide proof that you can live and study in the UK.
Fees must be paid by the end of August. An invoice will be sent by post.
