The Scientist and the Firebrand is an exhibition inspired by the lives of two eminent women who are buried at Brompton Cemetery: Jane Wardle ( 1950-2015) ,a behavioural scientist working in cancer research and Emmeline Pankhurst (1858-1928), the political Firebrand and leader of the British suffragette movement.
The etchings by students from St.Marylebone CE School and students at the Heatherley School of Fine Art .The project was conceived and facilitated by Dora Wade and Hilary Daltry and was funded by The Royal Parks and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Exhibition is now on display at University College London, The North Cloisters, Gower Street, WC1 from March 1st until March 23rd. Open from 9-6 pm Mon-Sat.
