Heatherleys’ Student Phillip Cuttel shortlisted for the Jackson’s Painting Prize: Rising Artists
Congratulations to everyone who submitted to Jackson’s Painting Prize this year for their milestone exhibition, showcasing a shortlist of global artists at Bankside Gallery.

This year Post Diploma student Phillip Cuttel was shortlisted for the prize. Heatherleys Portrait Diploma graduate Kayoon Anderson (CBBP, Sky Portrait Artist of the Year Runner Up) was one of this years judges.
Other judges include: Martin Gayford (Curator & author of titles such as ‘Spring Cannot be Cancelled’ co-written with David Hockney), Ell Pennick (Founder and CEO of Guts Gallery), Hugo Barclay (Director of Affordable Art Fair UK), Sahara Longe (Figurative painter, represented by Timothy Turner Gallery) and Lorena Levi (Artist, winner of Jackson’s Painting Prize 2022).
This year’s winner of the prize Melissa Ling says “I am thrilled to be awarded this year’s Jackson’s Painting Prize. Thank you to Jackson’s and the panel of judges for selecting my work for this honour. The prize will have a great impact on my studio practice.”
