Staff and Student Highlight: Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition
We’re extremely proud of all the staff, tutors and students who’ve exhibited the Royal Society of Portrait Painters 132nd Annual exhibition Mall Galleries this year.
Congratulations to all who made this fantastic event and showcase event happen again this year, including all the talent exhibited.
In case you missed it, here are Heatherleys’ highlights:
This year Heatherleys Open Studio tutor Toby Wiggins RP was awarded a gold medal and Ondaatje Prize for portraiture. It was lovely to see Principal Emeritus John Walton RP age 97 at the private view, alongside Allan Ramsay exhibiting his portrait of tutor George Levantis.
Other exhibitors include alumni Michael Wattles and Bernadett Timko and staff Helena Moock, Daniel Shadbolt, Tim Benson RP, David Caldwell RP and Melissa Scott Miller RP.
“Regarded as one of the world’s greatest forums for portraiture, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition showcases some of the best painted and drawn portraits selected from both national and international submissions.”
